Forever Young.

I know this might be a cover of a Joan Baez song…but it’s one of my favorite Bob Dylan songs. Thinking of him on his 70th birthday and thinking too about growing up and being young and in love.

It’s a bittersweet mix of excitement over possibilities and hurt on account of disillusionment. We don’t always get what we want. There isn’t enough love in the world. You’re more wrong than you are right. Things change, people more so.

But every time a birthday rolls by…or something in the form of a beginning, I wish for these same things and believe again.

Happy Birthday, Bob D.
