Shifting tides.

The aching desire to read meant taking an afternoon off to sit on the floor of a popular second-hand bookshop. I entered with no expectations and exited with enough new books to tide me over to other questions, other burning desires.
The only thing I could not shake off on the train ride home was the loneliness of not being able to comfortably book-buy in the presence of others.
